Built for the ride you don't plan for
Most rides end with chai and photos. Chaloo is built for the one that doesn't, and stays out of your way on all the others.
Crash detection that asks first
Your phone's motion sensors watch for the sharp impact and sudden stop of a fall. When they see one, Chaloo starts a countdown, 30 seconds unless you change it in settings.
If you're fine, tap “I'm okay” and nothing is sent. If you don't answer, your group gets an alert with your location, and your emergency contact gets an SMS or WhatsApp message with a map link and the medical details you chose to add.
SOS, without the crash
Breakdown on a ghat at night, or a rider in trouble ahead? Send an SOS yourself. Riders in your group and Chaloo riders nearby get a push alert.
Your medical profile
Blood group, allergies, conditions and medications, stored encrypted and only shared in an SOS. Fill in as much or as little as you like.
Who's at the back
Everyone in the ride is live on one map. When a rider is 2 km or more behind the group, you'll see it.
When the signal drops
Download maps for your route before you leave. On Wi-Fi, Chaloo also keeps 50 km around you, plus your home and work, saved without being asked. The map and your position keep working with no network.
Riders close to each other can still swap positions phone to phone over Bluetooth, and everything else is sent the moment you're back in range.
What Chaloo can't do
- It is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112.
- Alerts to your contact need a mobile signal. With none, they go out as soon as there is one.
- Crash detection can miss a fall, or fire on a hard drop of the phone. That's why it asks first.
- It doesn't replace a helmet, riding gear, or telling someone your route.
